Intentions

Over the years, this work has taught me that I am changed forever by the people I come into contact with. I am impacted by the clients I work with, and hope that this work is impactful for them. My intention as I navigate the therapeutic space is:

To honor the power of collaboration.

To build spaces that embody values of relationality and feminism. Of the “you & me & us” experience.

To emphasise the co-creation of spaces and experiences of healing.

To support people in building and discovering safety in our work together: to never impose the notion of safety because it is not only counter-intuitive but also  fundamentally violent. In a world that privileges objectivity and external scrutiny, to continue doing the hard work of nurturing our subjective realities.

To advocate for the parts and experiences of people that have been historically and contextually under-supported.

To continue to learn to accept my complexity and to support people in learning to embrace their own.

To let difference be a spark for dialog and connection.

To always remember that we’re not alone, for we are accompanied by history and ancestry.

To invoke softness and rage and vulnerability and tears and rest and critique all at once and one at a time.

To support being. Here. In this moment. With the breath that allows us to exist.

To hold that healing is never linear.
